Let me tell you the story of my husband, Jack: Hearing a yell emanating from the bathroom, I saw Jack emerge with a chin full of lather and his head cupped in his hands, saying: "something snapped; something snapped!" The doctor’s prognosis was a brain tumor. He was shunted from one hospital to another for M.R.I. and/or other diagnostic equipment. All tests came back either negative or inconclusive. Jack became a guinea pig with all kinds of medications, which only made him more confused and negatively affected both his kidneys and liver. After several months and much prayer, we made the decision to rely only on God for a complete healing. One morning I got a call at work: "I am healed!" He
yelled through the phone so excitedly that I got caught up with it,
too. I noticed that his voice was firm and he sounded like his old self
again. Jack related that while he was still in bed it was as if an
invisible arm was beckoning him into the hallway. He got up and, as he
entered the hall, he felt all the pressure in his head just lifting up
and out. "Jesus healed me," he shouted over and over again. Praise God,
what a miracle! And that was only ONE of the miracles he has received! With God there is no limit! Christianity is a learning process from which you never graduate. With God there is no limit. The gospel is so simple! Just as Jesus spoke in parables to the crowds and subsequently explained the message only to his disciples in private, so the Holy Spirit gives revelation to those who know him! It is a Eureka type of experience. Sometimes at work or in the early morning hours a verse may suddenly pop up and you get that "Aha! That is what it means!" feeling. It is not a brain function; it is a heart experience! Many times a well-known verse will suddenly be revealed in a totally new light. A friend recently came out with the statement: "When you read the Word; the Word reads you!" How wise and how true! When you ask the Lord to reveal himself to you every day through the Word, He will give you verses that are totally applicable to your particular situation that day! Yes, Jesus is alive! Over
the years our faith in the Lord has grown to such an extent that we
have experienced a number of miracles. Jack actually died, as well as
been on the brink of death, a number of times. BUT, each time the "Same
Spirit that raised Christ from the dead" raised him up! How did this happen? The Bible says that: "I am the God who heals you," and: "By His stripes we were healed." All you need to do is take God at His Word, and that’s what we did. Miracles,
as in Jack’s story above, do not always come instantly. This
is where your faith gets severely tested! That entails the ability to
stand, sometimes for months, believing that He will
do exactly what He says in His Word! And He always does!
The
First Step Towards a Life of Overcoming Power Is to: To know Him is to Love Him! It’s the basis of the first Commandment. The more you get to know God, the more you will grow to love Him and experience His Love. Consequently, your faith and trust in Him grows to the point that you know that you can ask Him for anything according to His will and He will give it! (John 15: 7) Negative thoughts and emotions of fear, anger, despair, discouragement and worry, will be replaced by those of love, faith, joy, patience, endurance and strength. The Joy of God Becomes Your Strength!
